SME Finance 2017 explores how access to finance supports small and medium-sized enterprises in emerging and frontier markets, fostering entrepreneurship, job creation and sustainable economic growth. This first impact report assesses the performance of the Loans for Growth (LFG) Fund and measures its contribution to employment and business development across 12 low- and middle-income countries.

Drawing on data from SMEs financed by the LFG Fund, the publication analyses business performance, employment, access to finance, asset growth and the key challenges faced by entrepreneurs, providing valuable insights into the impact of SME finance.
