Symbiotics, the leading market access platform for impact investing, today introduced its new flagship fund, the Emerging Credit Fund (ECF). Designed for professional and qualified investors, the Fund provides a strategic gateway to investors seeking to capture growth in emerging and frontier markets through a diversified, impact-oriented portfolio.

Structured as a Luxembourg SICAV (Part II), the fund is an open-ended, semi-liquid private debt strategy. As an SFDR Article 9 compliant investment fund, it invests across a diversified portfolio of financial institutions, corporates, and projects, driving sustainable growth within emerging and frontier markets

ECF focuses on private credit investments across hard and local currencies and aims to increase its local-currency allocation over time. ECF is designed around short-duration private credit, diversified exposures, and active portfolio monitoring. The fund targets impact themes including financial inclusion as a core theme, with selective allocations to climate, fintech, and agriculture, aligned with defined SDG priorities.

As private credit markets in emerging economies evolve, investors are increasingly attentive to how currency structures affect both borrowers and portfolios. The Emerging Credit Fund incorporates unhedged local-currency exposure as part of a broader private credit strategy designed to reflect these dynamics in a disciplined and transparent way,” said Daniel Schriber, CEO of Symbiotics Asset Management

The Emerging Credit Fund is managed by Symbiotics Asset Management.

The Emerging Credit Fund is uniquely positioned to offer resilient risk-adjusted returns, underpinned by the consistent yield of private credit and the structural growth momentum inherent to emerging markets. By broadening our scope to include a more diverse array of institutions and business models, the portfolio captures emerging forms of economic activity while maintaining rigorous diversification across geographies, sectors, and impact themes,” added Arushi Wanchoo Kaul, Portfolio Manager, Emerging Credit Fund

The fund is supported by institutional investors from Switzerland and Europe.
