Symbiotics, the leading market access platform for impact investing, has arranged a USD 6.25 million and VND 234 billion (USD 10.1 million) Green Bonds for EVNFinance.
EVNFinance, a Vietnamese non-bank Financial Institution regulated by the State Bank of Vietnam and listed on the UPCoM Stock exchange, showcased its continued commitment to finance green projects by receiving dedicated funding via the issuance of Green Bonds.
The proceeds will be used to fund solely green projects: renewable energy (C&I solar, roof-top solar), hydro power, and biomass energy.
“The issuance of these Green Bonds represents another milestone for Symbiotics in supporting the global movement towards reaching sustainability via green finance.”, said Daniel Schriber, Head of Investments of Symbiotics.
“With the trust and credit extension by Symbiotics, EVNFinance will have the basis to continue to carry out the mission of supporting the development of green energy / renewable energy projects all around Vietnam.”, said Nguyen Hoang Hai, General Director of EVNFinance.
These bonds are issued via Symbiotics sponsored bond issuance platform (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Bonds S.A.) under its Sustainability, Social and Green Bond Framework, certified in December 2019 by DNV GL. The Green Bonds have been listed on the Luxembourg Green Exchange within the Green Bond section. The proceeds of the Green Bonds have been fully used towards a 4-year, senior unsecured loan to EVNFinance.
