Symbiotics launched an Impact Division

July 24, 2018

On July 1st, Symbiotics has created the Impact Division to reinforce at the organizational level our commitment of putting impact management in the focus of our activities. The newly established Impact Division will regroup and uplift the social performance management framework of the firm, as well as align the research, capacity building and impact measurement resources. Symbiotics has covered internally the position for the management of this division and promoted Mariano Larena, until now Head of Technical Assistance and Development Finance at Symbiotics, to Head of Impact. Mariano has a law degree and is an experienced banker with over 30 years expertise. He has worked as an independent microfinance and SME consultant, as a regional coordinator for Latin America at ProCredit, and has held various senior manager positions within German and Spanish commercial banks. We are excited about this looking forward institutional novelty and wish the best to Mariano in his new functions.
